Two leaders in prefabricated design are coming together to create a seamless solution for your System 03 cabin. Every component is pre-designed and shipped directly to your build site, making it simple to plan, easy to install, and thoughtfully crafted from the very first sketch.

Swede creates bespoke, Canadian-made cabinetry through a network of independent design studios. Trusted by homeowners and builders across North America, they make planning a dream kitchen straightforward, collaborative, and enjoyable, with over 1,000 kitchens designed and delivered.

WHAT SWEDE PROVIDES INSIDE:

  • Every detail of your Swede kitchen has been designed around the specific geometry of the BHC System 03 cabin. Upper cabinets follow the A-frame roofline, panels sit flush with ceiling finishes, and all cabinetry is custom-fit to the millimetre — so nothing is an afterthought.

  • A place of calm. The Swede bathroom vanity is designed as a single, integrated unit - a floating console with concealed storage that brings a sense of order to even the most compact bathroom.

    The shower enclosure is pre-engineered to integrate with BHC's wall panel system, ensuring a watertight seal and clean finish with no on-site custom work.

  • Beyond the kitchen and bath, Swede's interior package considers the entire living experience. Custom nook cabinetry, integrated storage, and MEP closet solutions keep utilities organized and out of sight.

    Every detail is considered - from the way a drawer glides to the alignment of panels with the ceiling line. This is Scandinavian design thinking applied to backcountry living.

Sign Your BHC Order Form

Once you’ve confirmed that this is the right cabin for you, simply sign the BHC order form to reserve your spot in the fabrication line for your System 03.

Meet Your Swede Designer

The BHC sales team will share the Swede catalogue and sample sets, then book you a complimentary video consultation with your Swede Designer.

Begin Your Build Journey

Now it’s time to build. BHC will guide you through constructing the exterior shell of your cabin, while Swede will guide you through completing your interior solution.

Frequently Asked Questions

    • System 03 has been designed as a larger evolution of our original A-frame, System 00. While System 00 was created as a compact seasonal escape, System 03 was developed as a fully livable cabin designed for year-round living. It is also our first cabin to offer a complete interior package.

    • It maintains the same rigorous architectural detailing found across all BHC systems, while simplifying the structure and assembly process through its iconic A-frame design. This makes it especially efficient to transport and build in remote locations, with the shell assembled in as little as five days.

  • While the core structure is standardized, System 03 offers flexibility through two layout options and a range of thoughtfully designed interior packages. Whether for a personal retreat, a family cabin, or a hospitality space, the system adapts to how you want to live. Choose from a curated selection of finishes and appliance tiers through the integrated system developed with Swede Kitchens.

  • Foundations are site-specific, so you can build on whatever foundation system suits your project best. Typically a Foundation Engineer will review your site’s Geotechnical Report and incorporate point loads of the BHC System to design a foundation that suits your requirements. The BHC System is compatible with a variety of foundation systems, including (from least expensive to most expensive):

    • Piles / Piers 

    • Strip Foundation

    • Strip Foundation with Crawl Space

    Our team can help you better understand which foundations may be best suited to your site and selected system.

  • While BHC provides the system itself, clients are responsible for managing the permitting and building process, including hiring their local project team. This team typically includes a general contractor, engineer, and any required consultants or trades needed to apply for permits, carry out site work, build foundations and assemble the BHC kit. As well as decisions and construction related to interior furnishing and styling.

    Once your team is in place, BHC is happy to work alongside them throughout the project, answering questions and providing support to help ensure a successful build.

  • Yes. System 03 is reviewed by building departments as a residential project, and permits will typically be required, although this varies depending on your location and local jurisdiction.

    BHC will work alongside you and your local project team to provide the required documentation needed to support your permitting application. Permitting applications themselves will typically be handled by your general contractor.

  • Once your custom cabinetry enters production, the Swede team will provide progress updates and coordinate delivery to align with your project timeline. All cabinetry arrives fully assembled and ready for installation by your local team at the build site.

  • Don’t be that person… (sigh), but if needed, we can make a few adjustments within one week of the order being placed.

  • Yes. You can secure your fabrication spot by signing your BHC order form before finalizing your interior design.

    Once we receive your order form, you’ll be paired with a designer from Swede who will guide you through designing your interior package.
